November 15, 2020

Welcome to Moncton Wesleyan!

What comes to mind when you think of God? Some people view God as distant and apathetic; others as angry and vengeful; still others as caring and intimately involved in our lives. We would love to invite you to join us in rediscovering God’s nature in our “What is God Like?” sermon series on November 15th! Invite friends, family, neighbours, and coworkers!

We’re excited to once again have Sunday morning in-person church at 10:30am. This experience will have social distancing restrictions, and have limited ministries functioning. So that we can maintain safety for you and your family, we are asking that each person register for the Sunday service. Space is limited so please register early. Registrations open on Sundays for the coming week. We look forward to worshipping together on Sunday mornings with you. If you have any questions please email bkeith@mw.church. To register, go to mw.church/register! You can also watch our service online on our Facebook Page and Youtube Channel.

Small groups are a fantastic way for us to stay connected as our region re-enters the Orange Phase yet again. Online Zoom meetings allow us to stay in touch and continue to grow together through this ever-changing season. Let’s lean into this moment with creativity and innovation to make the most of a challenging situation. Know that we will all get through this together.

Thank you for helping us follow the NB Government’s mandated guidelines for church attendance during COVID 19.

Wearing a mask: masks are mandatory at all times while in the church building. We are aware that masks are inconvenient and uncomfortable during worship services. However, we want to support our government’s guidelines.
Hanging up your coats: as the weather changes and we need to wear coats, please be aware we don’t have hangers during this season to prevent the spread of COVID 19 from shared surfaces.   Please keep your coat with you and feel free to lay it on the seat in front of you as every second row is kept empty.

Each and every Wednesday, a new episode of “The Songs We Pray”, hosted by our Worship and Creative Arts Pastor, Marc Jolicoeur, is uploaded to our Facebook Page. Here, Pastor Marc takes a closer look at some of the songs we sing on Sunday mornings at Moncton Wesleyan and invites us to explore how their history, lyrics, and musical quality all inform the message they speak about God and our lives lived for Him. Be sure to check it out if you haven’t already had the chance to–each episode brings new, deeper meaning to our familiar worship songs.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
For this year’s Christmas services, your kids can help lead worship via video choir! All you need to do is send us a video of your child singing a portion of the chosen song, “Away In A Manger”, to have them included in the choir. To sign up and get more details, fill out the form by clicking here!

Guess what?! God is moving in PRYME. Our big goal at PRYME is to help students develop a faith of their own that lasts. Our services are every Wednesday at 7:00pm. You can register here to come in person or join us online here. We’d absolutely love for you partner with us in prayer, as we believe that God wants to do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

If you’d like to be in the loop about what’s going on at PRYME, click here to sign up for our weekly update email or reach out at students@mw.church. Also be sure to check out our students’ Facebook page and parents’ Facebook group.
